Pretty much like nicotine patches, these detox cleanse patches claim to help you out just by sticking them on your skin. And, like nicotine patches, the efficacy of these patches could still be contested.
The skin is one the organs that help your body get rid of toxins. In this case, sweat is the waste that the organ produces and it is this principle that detox patches use to sell themselves. Since skin releases sweat, and toxins are in sweat, why not put a patch on it to help it out?
While the idea may be novel, it really comes off as anachronistic. The waste has been released, so why would you need a patch for it? I think it would be better if you took a cleansing or a detox supplement that works from the inside instead of out. Then again, these things are not so expensive, so maybe you could give it a try.
That yellow patterned sweater you found is adorable, as is Longoria's top. I would love it -- but how do I pick my colors? Has anyone found the perfect tool?
