Colon cleansing has been the subject of debates between medical doctors and those in the field of alternative medicine. While one side claims that colon cleansing is one of the most effective ways to get rid of toxins and harmful buildup along the intestines, the other side claims that such a treatment is unnecessary and is possibly harmful. If you're not too keen on an invasive procedure or taking products to stimulate bowel movement, diet can be an option. As good as colon cleansing is, it still has a downside. Those who want a colon cleanse need to devote time solely for cleansing. Whether by diet, by enema, or by taking colon cleansers, one's body would react to the cleanse and therefore needs time to adjust. Colon cleansing also means commitment. After all, making a decision for health is not just a one time thing. If you decide to go on a colon cleanse, this means that you're also deciding to stay away from toxins as much as possible.
